True Green India

Together, we can make a difference!

Electronic waste (e-waste) includes unwanted, discarded, or end-of-life electronic products. With our increasing reliance on technology, e-waste is rapidly accumulating worldwide. Unfortunately, most of it ends up in landfills or the informal sector, where improper disposal harms both the environment and human health.

Let's pledge to responsibly recycle our e-waste every time we purchase new electronics.

Benefits of E-Waste Recycling

Electronic waste, or e-waste, is primarily composed of plastic, precious metals, and hazardous chemicals. Properly disposing of e-waste involves recycling plastic, recovering metals for future use, and safely managing toxic substances like lead.

By recycling e-waste, we ensure that harmful components are handled appropriately and valuable resources are preserved. Unfortunately, in India, more than 90% of e-waste ends up either in landfills or the informal sector, where it's often burned or treated with acid. This improper disposal releases dangerous chemicals like cadmium into the environment, posing significant health risks to humans and ecosystems.

Given our planet's finite resources, it's crucial to conserve them through recycling and reusing materials. Therefore, managing e-waste in a controlled environment by knowledgeable professionals is imperative for safeguarding both human health and the environment.

Journey of Discarded E-Waste

E-waste collected from Vardhman Electronics stores undergoes a meticulous process before recycling. Initially transported to a centralized location, it's then handed over to JustDispose for further processing. At JustDispose's advanced facility, the e-waste undergoes thorough segregation, dismantling, and recycling procedures conducted in accordance with the guidelines established by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

JustDispose, recognized as a government-authorized recycling partner, maintains strict adherence to environmental standards and regulations. During the recycling process, plastics and metals are extracted for reuse, while hazardous materials such as lead, mercury, and cadmium are carefully transported to government-operated Common Hazardous Waste Treatment (CHWT) facilities for safe and eco-friendly disposal.

Both Vardhman Electronics and JustDispose are committed to ensuring responsible e-waste management, prioritizing environmental sustainability and safety throughout the entire disposal process.
